Since Surf Life Saving was established in 1907, over 670,000 lives have been saved. In 2021/22 our Surf Life Saving active members were involved in 8,916 rescues, 58,342 first aid treatments and more than 1.63 million preventative actions. Surf Life Saving volunteers carried out more than 1.31 million patrol hours.

Job Description

Responsibilities

This position is integral to our mission, driving forward key initiatives and contributing to the overall success of our team. Your expertise will shape our strategic direction and operational efficiency, directly impacting our innovation, growth, and the maintenance of SLSA's iconic Australian brand.

To lead and coordinate donor campaigns and oversee the administration and strategic coordination of the Innovation Fund. This includes strategic campaign planning, stakeholder coordination, customer relationship management (CRM) & content management system (CMS) management for campaign communications, data selection, proofing of materials, and ensuring quality control. 

Strategic Campaign Leadership:

  • Plan and execute innovative donor campaigns in partnership with the donor team and shared services.
  • Track performance to ensure campaign success.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and external agencies to deliver high-quality creative assets.
  • Act as the main contact for campaign stakeholders.

CRM & CMS Utilisation:

  • Manage CRM workflows, data segmentation, and automation for targeted outreach.
  • Oversee digital content updates using the CMS to ensure consistent campaign delivery.

Quality Assurance:

  • Proof and quality-check materials to ensure all outputs meet strategic objectives and timelines.

Innovation Fund Support:

  • Provide administrative support for the Innovation Fund Committee, including meeting coordination and tracking project progress.

Team Collaboration and Mentorship:

  • Guide and mentor team members to ensure campaign consistency and encourage cross-functional teamwork.

Enhanced Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate reports on campaign performance and donor behaviour to identify improvement opportunities.

Desired Skills and Experience

Who You Are

Our ideal candidate will have:

1) Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant experience in the areas of Marketing or relevant discipline. 

2) Knowledge and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in leading donor campaigns and strategic fundraising projects.
  • Demonstrated success in CRM & CMS management for campaign execution.
  • Proven ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders and manage high-level projects. 

3) Skills and Attributes:

  • Advanced leadership, project management, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication skills for facilitating discussions and taking minutes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in proofing and overseeing campaign materials.
  • Ability to analyse data and apply insights for strategic decision-making.
